So, we woke up in Wainui on the Northeastern coast of the North Island to drizzle... Which then turned into steady rain for days to follow. It became a game of checking the weather to see where it WASN'T raining to figure out the direction of our travel. While in Wainui Coastal Park camping, I met John. As a native Kiwi and long-time traveler, he had many suggestions for us for our path. One of them was that we had to visit one specific fish and chips restaurant in Manganui, a fishing village nearby. The photos are from a few towns nearby Manganui, the famous fish and chips, shots of the harbor, and my favorite... an auto repair garage in the harbor over the water--great scenery for repairing cars!!!
