LEAVING BROOKLYN, HEADED FOR AUCKLAND

Well, here we go...finally getting to sharing our experiences thus far~
Before we left Brooklyn, we had to visit Taco Chulo one more time as we won't have any Chulo for two months!! Thanks to Dija and Carrie for a great meal as usual... And all of our peeps who came out to celebrate our upcoming adventure with us!!!

We finally made it to Auckland!  Our mission was to find a van to live out of for the next 5 weeks while in New Zealand.  We found a hostel in picturesque Mt. Eden, Auckland to make our internet/sleeping base for a night and began our search. There were so many people staying at the hostel whom were stuck there from being unable to sell their travel van--the desperation was palpable.  After a long search, we decided that renting was worth the money. We didn't want to cut our trip short in order to get back to Auckland to begin the hustle of trying to sell the van in a timely manner.  So, Jucy Rentals did the job!! Fully loaded camper van with convertible bed, table, gas stove, and sink!

Chas and Larry, took the photo of that sailboat in Auckland's Viaduct Harbor for you.  Other images are from the neighborhood Mt. Eden, where we stayed our first night.  The second night we tent-camped (before picking up the van) in a park south of the city.  Sunrise shot and farm animals are from that beautiful little spot...
